Im having some issues on a piece of specialist desktop software (windows wise im running W10) and i need to get a professional in to assist. Ive found someone who runs an online support service for this piece of software and offers support remotely VNC single click.
Is there anyway to give them reduced privileges when accessing my machine eg. only giving him point and click access and no command line or file upload access ?

SC run as the current user and with the security of that user.
If the current user == admin then SC can remote do the same as the admin
If the current user is restricted, then Sc is also restricted.
FileTransfer also happen with the same user permissions as the desktop user.
The problem can be that the remote support needs to be "You" to be able to see your problem or fix some settings that are
user related.
If you resuest help from a software vendor, who has his software running on your pc...you can thrust them.
They don't need SC to do nasty things.
