VNC SC Encryption and File Transfer

Post by psezemlicka »

I used VNC SC back when it was new (circa 2005/2006). Recently I decided I needed a simple backup remote app so I revisited VNCSC. Everything seems to work ok but I have noticed a couple of issues.

First, I can't seem to get encryption to work. I did setup the rc4.key and included it in the custom.zip. When I use the vncviewer.exe -listen, it works but when i use vncviewer.exe -dsmplugin SecureVNCPlugin.dsm -listen 5500, All I get on the receiving end is the VNC Viewer Status window with a status of "Negotiate Protocol Version ..." I also have the rc4.key in my vnc install folder. Any thoughts on why the encrypt doesn't work?

Secondly, I notice that I'm missing the file transfer icon. Is this not present in the SC version? It would be really nice to have but i suppose it's not necessary. Regardless, I'd like to know if I am missing it because I did something wrong or if it just isn't a feature with SC.

I am using the latest UVNC 1.2.2.2 and the 2015 UltraVncSC build. Thanks for any help.

Regards,
Steve

Please try MSRC4Plugin_for_sc.dsm

Else download the Viewer from http://www.uvnc.com/downloads/single-cl ... loads.html

If you have 7zip, you can extract the downloaded Sc.exe to a folder and easy change settings without the the need to upload
each time.
