Next Steps

Post by Al »

If I dont use the plugin, i get a diffrent error saying "authentication failed". It only asks for a password, no username.. I dont know if it wants my password for the local user, or if it wants my password that i typed in the vnc serer program (under options)... i used both and it still fails. when I use the MSRC4plugin, atleast it said that "port 5900 is not an RFB server" but know when its disabled, it seems like its a password problem. Its really confusing b/c there are no "how to's" out there that can give me a step by step guide on how to config http login...For gosh sakes what the heck do i need? another open port? a third party app or file? something, someone......help!!! Im choking here

Looks like your are using MSLogon in WinVNC properties.

Unfortunatly, MS Logon is not yet supported by the Java viewer... but it should be soon, as well as Chat and FileTransfer.

If MSLogon is not used, you simply have to enter the VNC password you entered in WinVNC properties when prompted in the JAva Viewer applet.

If MSlogon doesnt work, how should i configure it. one user password saved & automatically login windows? or one user with blank mslogon password? If its blank password, does the user need to be auto login?....Thanx for all the help,,,good forum
