Quickly accessing remote servers w/o typing server name/pswd

Post by chris58950 »

Is there a file you can make that will store the server and password information? That way, all you have to do is click on the file, and VNC will automatically launch for that server?

Hi Chris,

Once you have started the connection right click on the viewer program in the taskbar and then select 'save connection info as' or press CTRL+ALT+F5. This will create a vnc file that'll store the connection info. Just double click it and it'll launch the connection with no more user input needed.

The only thing it won't do is store the details of the encryption file if used. If there is a way of doing this then please let me know.

Cheers

Stu
