Help me connect to my PC from work

Post by mad_max127 »

Hi, first post here and I'm a noob on VNC
I like to run my home PC from work but I can't figure out how. The office comps are behind a proxy server and very strictly administrated. I can surf and use port 23 (telnet) but if I try to connect over explorer I get error message, don't remember exactly the message but it was something with router. I get as far as to login but after typing password I get the error message.
I've read something about tunneling using putty but can't figure out how.
Please help....

So let me clarify, you are able to enter in your password, and then have the problems? If so, it might be a configuration issue within VNC. Can you post what the error message is?

Network error:no route to server: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

I can connect from other computers that is on DSL but not from my company.

How to get around it?
