Running Vnc server on Windows 98

Post by Guest »

According to many posts/ pages etc. this is possible but I am having a hard time getting it to work. I wanted to get remote control from my Win2k Machine to Win98 Laptop as my screen got broken (the cable that runs from board to screen is torn).

My Win98 machine can connect to Win2k (remote control) but the other way arround doesn't work.

I checked microsoft and other web sites but only found few other users to have these problems.

I was able to run tightvnc loopback but that was it. If I am correct there are TCP/IP limitations in Win98 as I think it requires NetBEUI to connect to other computers. Is there like a workaround or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

UDX.

B.T.W this thin beats laplink using TCP IP. It's so much faster.
