Multiple instances of VNCViewer not working

Post by Concentra »

I used to use RealVNC and want to change to UltraVNC.
But I can't run multiple instances of VNCViewer in listening mode of UltraVNC in a Windows 2000 running Terminal Services.
When I try I get the error:

"Error creating listening daemon:
(Error creating flasher socket)
Perhaps another VNCviewer is already running?"

I'm using diferent ports to each instance.
In RealVNC it works OK.
Any tip ?

I have to check the code but I think that the multiple listening viewers has only been added since the RC12 or RC14.

Are you using RC11d ?
I this case, you can try the RC16 vncviewer, for instance.

Ok, the RC16 is working.

Thanks.

But, how "stable" is RC16 ?
Is RC15 more stable ?

Thanks again.

RC15 is to slow when using the driver..
For hooking mode it is ok.

RC16 looks stable, we only had some report on a athlon(AMD)
that seems to have problems with RC16.

Gonna launch the question in the forum....
