Java VncViewer Development

Post by thetechteacher »

Am I missing it somewhere? Is there a "one repository to rule them all" of the java vnc viewer source? Ultr@ has code in it's SVNand it's CVS, Tight has code in it's SVN and it's CVS, Real lets you download code, etc. etc.

I know there is no single java vncviewer repo because they all have different features/customizations. BUT, they are all from the same base. Which is the "standard" (java) project? Do common changes get sent back to one? Is there any sharing? Is there even any development?

Why I care: I'm working on a java project that embeds a VncViewer inside of it, and I want to contribute back the few bugs I've found and, of course, I want to be able to use future developments from any of the projects.

I know [topic=11101]BuggyBunny has expressed an interest[/topic] in working with the Java code. The README file with the java code from Ultr@ reads: "As soon as this new JavaViewer reaches the 'beta' stage we'll put the source code in Ultr@VNC CVS repository." Additionally, amongst the many vnc mailinglists there are occasional bug fixes people post. Is there a single place I should be starting from?

Ideally, I would like to be able use and share with all different VNC flavors. THANKS
