Launch VncViewer.jar via command:wrong Authentication window

Postby Witto » 2011-11-20 22:49

I installed the UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 Server and configured the "New MS Logon" or "MS-Logon II".
If I browse to this computer via http://MyUltraVNCServer:5800/ I get a VNC Authentication box asking for a Username and Password.
I downloaded the VncViewer.jar via http://MyUltraVNCServer:5800/VncViewer.jar.
I try to logon to my server with the command line:
Code: Select all
java -classpath VncViewer.jar VncViewer HOST MyUltraVNCServer PORT 5900

Now I only get an authentication window asking for a password.

What parameters do I have to use to get the right UltraVNC Authentication window, asking for the username?

I do not think that the Java viewer supports MSLogon or DSM plugins. Sorry. I think you'll need to run the full viewer.

Dear B,
Like I said, if I browse to my VNC Server via http://MyUltraVNCServer:5800/, the Java program works fine. I get a VNC Authentication Window asking for "Username" and "Password".
So the VncViewer.jar does support MS-Logon. But why doesn't it do it when launched from a command prompt?
