regular Maximized windows

Post by JJJ »

I've been using UltraVNC for a week now. It's a great client, noticably better performance than TightVNC, which I was having trouble with.

The only thing I wish UltraVNC had is a regular Maximized windows feature. I don't like the Fullscreen replacing maximize because it interferes with Alt-Tab task switching (which is something several others have complained about over the years here from search results).

So could you add a regular Maximied option? Perhaps it could be a config setting to choose whether you want Fullscreen or Maximize when the window's maximize command is issued.

Thanks
B

Seconded. I can't see a reason NOT to provide such a basic option.

Fourthed!!! I just switched from RealVNC, which supported Alt-Tab for task switching. I cannot believe that something this rudimentary is missing.

If you're referring to being able to send commands like Alt+Tab to the remote session (instead of being processed locally), that is a supported feature. Turn on Scroll Lock and everything will be processed by the remote machine rather than the local one.

If you're referring to the maximize button, I don't have anything to add. :)
