When in fullscreen mode, UltraVNC switches the windows viewer to be always on top of other windows. This makes it inconvenient to switch to other windows (alt-Tab for example won't work, nor will ctrl-esc, esc) unless you first minimize the vnc window. I'd prefer if you turned off the always-on-top 'feature' or at least made it optional to change.

Yeah that is a great idea, using ctrl+alt+f12 just to use alt tab, and then pressing that combination again to turn back full screen mode is really anoying.

always-on-top is IMHO unnecessary

What about the local taskbar....
If viewer is not on top, your local taskbar is on top of the viewer.

If local and remote have the same taskbar position, the local taskbar cover the remote.....spoken about confusion.

Maybe you could catch events responsible for focus and turn on or off always-on-top.

I know terminal services solved this problem nicely so it's definitively possible.

Also most games doesn't seem to have any problem with that.
