I know this is a really old post but this is what I was going to request. Can you build UPnP forwarding support into the server and client. I'm requesting client UPnP support because I use the reverse connection option. It would be nice if I could just open the viewer and have it map the listening port for me.

Pretty please? :D

Please fix the subject of this topic. Also, can anybody explain those settings?

Image
  • Enable incoming port (1)
Activate the listening mode, viewer can connect to server
  • Enable Java port (2)
If you use a webbrowser, java require an extra port
  • RFB port
    post used by (1)
  • Http port
    port used by (2)
  • Auto/Manual
default port =5900 when in auto and port 5900 is in use
    winvnc auto switch to 5901
  • Allow loopback connections
Viewer and server on same pc OR a connection made via a tunnel
  • LoopbackOnly
Only allow connections from the same PC
  • Check UPNP
Test if UPnP can be used
  • Fix UPNP
Try to fix firewall and other stuff to access your upnp device
  • Find Ext IP
Get the official ip address of your router
  • Forward RFB Port (UPNP)
If port is set to manual " we need to know the port" this port is forwared from the router to your PC.

If someone connect to port 5900 on ip address "Ext ip" the router forward this port to your PC
  • Close Port (UPNP)
Try to close the port opposite of forward
