Version 1.0.5.3 and Windows 7

Post by hecash »

I've been asked by a training vendor to install Version 1.0.5.3. My OS is Windows 7.

Will this version function on the Windows 7 OS?
If so, must I download the Vista addons during installation?

Thank you.

yes, you need vista add for use with ultravnc server on win7
UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 (built 20110518)
OS Win: xp home + vista business + 7 home
only experienced user, not developer

I had no prior knowledge about UltraVNC. My need to connect to the vendor was nearly immediate. Support from the vendor was only available from an existing text document; not phone. The document was specific about the version. Accordingly, I sought to employ that version and that version alone.

Thank you. I did so and it functioned sufficiently to satisfy my need but it was a bit slow.
