Custom Image on Blank Monitor

Post by sweetlydark »

I've tried all the suggestions I could find on here but still can't get UltraVNC to display my custom background.

I have alphablending enabled, and have placed my bmp in the application folder, in system32 and even in the ultravnc folder I found in application data. I don't have the video hook driver enabled and still I get the big eye.

Both computers are XP with all updates and service packs, could that be the problem? The only thing I haven't tried is unistalling and reinstalling UltraVNC.

Is it realy a bmp image ? 24bit ?

Well I created the image in paint and saved it to C:\Program Files\UltraVNC. I believe its 24bit.

On which computer does it need to be on? I'm testing it right now on the client computer but I get the same thing.

Turns out it was an install problem. I installed a new UltraVNC over an old one instead of uninstalling it. After I removed both and the folder in programs files, I did a clean install and everything worked.

Now I just need to figure out why my home PC will only let me see the desktop (connecting to it over the internet) but won't let me control it remotely.

Thanks for the help.
