uVNC server to remote launch vncviewer

Post by Mahapia »

Hi ,

I just wonder if the uVNC server software supports any type of commands I could use to remote launch vncviewer.

I have 12 servers and a viewer , I would want to have each server to remote launch a viewer window anytime the server comes online (after user logged on ).
Now this process is done manually by clicking a vnc shortcut including the server's IP address. I would want this to be automated.

Servers are running Windows 2003 Server and / or Windows 2008 Server SP1.
Viewer station is running Windows 7 SP1.

Thank you

Best regards,

M.

What's possible...
-Let the server make the connection to the viewer ( invers connection)
-Install the viewer in listen mode ( the viewer is always running and wating for a server connection)
vncviewer.exe -listen

Using the service commandline in ultravnc.ini ( this is the same as the commandline running as application) you can instruct to make
a connection to your viewer. The viewer accept multiple connections, so your 12 server make a auto connection on startup.
Something like
service_commandline=-autoreconnect -connect hostname:port ( viewerip:5500)
