Norton 360 Anti-Virus

Post by PaulW »

Has anyone else seen this one? I was at the customer's computer and downloaded the support.exe file to their computer. Norton grabbed the file :yell:, scanned it and tucked it away and reported it had, "Norton Insight Network Threat." I was in a hurry to figure out where it stashed the file.

Any recommendations on this one?

Sometimes AutoIT scripts get detected as a virus:

You could get around it by having them temporarily disable their virus scanner or get a better one. :P

Had a similar issue recently with Norton... however, there was an opportunity to say something like "run anyway"... it didn't, in my case, lock it up without asking.

I don't know what version of Norton they were running but it was a new computer so probably a fairly recent version.
