The path change was made after re-install visual c++ 2005 and change the line 111 in the compiler.au3.
I have changed the line 111 back to 1000, and the compiler keeps working fine.

We have a winner!

It seems like I haven't taken into account spaces in the path, I'll get it fixed up and release a Beta2.

Thanks jcesario. :D

I confirm the passwd can't be filled because of space at Folder Name
in my case I use Folder ChunkVnc 3.2 Beta and it didn't work. but when I change it to ChunkVnc3.2, it works and by the way we don't have to move the folder to root, because my directory structure like this.
D:\Workshop\Labs\ChunkVnc3.2 and it works.

Will try it more.

Beta2 is live:

http://www.chunkvnc.com/ChunkVNC_3_2_BETA2.zip

Compiler can now be in a path with spaces.

I've updated the server executable to a customized 1.0.9.3.

Multiple monitors should work now, I did a quick test on Vista 32, please report results. It seems this new UltraVNC server only switches between showing all monitors or monitor 1. At least it works! :P

I just realized that I wasn't using the newest version of SecureVNC Plugin.

Download the x86 file: http://www.adamwalling.com/SecureVNC/
Replace the file in SRC\InstantSupport_Files.

This will be included with the next release and seems to offer performance benefits.

Beta3 is live:

http://www.chunkvnc.com/ChunkVNC_3_2_BETA3.zip

I've added a lot of code to check if another VNC server is already running and to shut it down so InstantSupport can run.
Currently it can close InstantSupport and TightVNC running as user or service.

Updated SecureVNC plugin to v2.3

Various small bug fixes.

I'm going to focus on the documentation now unless a bug is spotted.

I just downloaded 3.2beta3 and noticed:

ChunkVNC_3_2_BETA3\Viewer\Bin\SecureVNCPlugin.dsm = 2.2.4.0

and vncviewer.exe is 1.0.9.1

but the plugin for the server is 2.3

AutoIT sometimes gets reported as a virus, either get a better scanner or report to AVG of a false detection.

Maybe the inclusion of the new services code is similar to a virus?

Check virustotal.com for a confirmation of no viruses. Avira fine here.

AVG 9 doesn't complain but AVG 2011 does.

VirusTotal doesn't have AVG 2011 yet and only one obscure anti-virus complains about the latest ChunkVNC.

So far AVG 2011 has been a real issue for me with other problems concerning VPN access... stick with v9 for the time being is my advice.

The problem is, I use this to remote computer with AVG11 and that's not my computer so can't change it. :-D Will try to report it to AVG then.

Meanwhile could you please to look the code, maybe there is another way to do it. I'm really appreciate it. :-D

Since it's only being reported by AVG 2011 (not sure what AVG 11 is) it will probably get fixed eventually by AVG.

In the mean time why not stick with ChunkVNC 3.1... it seems to work well with AVG 2011 even though it doesn't have the 3.2 improvements. You should be able to do just about anything you need to do.

I'm sorry I mean AVG 2011. :-D That's why I eagerly try the new version, because 3.1 detect as unknown virus too.

I'm still waiting reply from AVG.

Thanks for your patience.

Sorry to hear that 3.1 doesn't work either... I did extensive remote work using Chunk on aVG 2011 the other day.

Try this info from AVG:

"The only way to access a file detected by the Resident Shield after detection would be to restore the file to a folder that has been excluded from the Resident Shield.

For example, if you exclude the folder C:\Excludes from the Resident Shield, and restore the file to that location, you can access the file without the Resident Shield detecting the threat again upon access."

A bit tricky to implement if your client is not familiar with setting up AVG options.

Dear Sir\Madam,

thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, the previous virus database might have detected the mentioned virus in some legitimate applications. We can confirm that this was a false alarm. We have prepared a new virus update removing the false positive detection of the mentioned file. This new database will be released today. Please update your AVG as described in FAQ 2220:
http://www.avg.com/faq?num=2220

When the update is completed, AVG will automatically restore the falsely detected file from the AVG Virus Vault to its original location.

We apologize for any inconvenience. In case of any further questions or issues please do not hesitate to contact AVG Technical Support again.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Best regards,

Martin Stradej

Alrighty then, coming in for a landing!

Beta4 is live (link in the first post) and has been vigorously tested. All of the features I wanted in this release are done and unless someone can find a bug the only thing left for me to do is create documentation for the newbs.

Happy testing. :D

I saw you posted about spelling mistakes in UVNC, so I thought would let you know that in the OP for the Beta 3.2 Testing experienced is spelt as experianced :D

PS. I haven't had any problems with the Beta4 version yet.

Supercoe

recommanded update your ChunkVNC 3.2beta
vncviewer/winvnc to 1.0.9.5 (stable)

SCHook.dll 1.0.0.3
SCHook64.dll 1.0.0.3 for 64bit

1.0.9.4 (unstable), crash all applications with SCHook 1.0.0.1, weird that not happen with 1.0.9.3.3

important if remote computer ultravnc.ini set EnableHook=1
UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 (built 20110518)
OS Win: xp home + vista business + 7 home

redge,

SCHook.dll is no longer a part of the ChunkVNC package.
The way I understood Rudi 1.0.9.5 was the same as .4 and was just to get rid of confusion while testing .4

Either way, this release of ChunkVNC has been tested quite a bit and doesn't seem to have any major issues... so far. :P

I prefer to not have SCHook.dll since it is closed source among other issues. :(

I know, you wrote in your changelog that you stop SCHook support.

As I said:
if remote computer have SCHook 1.0.0.1 with your winvnc 1.0.9.4, it crash complety all applications, this not awaited from remote support help, right ?

But I've modified the ultravnc.ini file EnableHook=0 so in theory it should matter that SCHook.dll exists, correct?

I guess I'm not to worried about this being an issue in the current 3.2 release as I've done a lot of testing since I modify the winvnc.exe file.

I believe this would only be an issue if EnableHook=1 and SCHook.dll was present.

The changes schook

*Running as application you can't lock server keyboard on Vista/win7.
(This failed as blockinput() require elevated access)
Blockinput is replaced by a hook function to proper handle this.

I still need to modify vnchook to do the same...

@supercoe
I have the lastest version of program and db (I check in the site). The infection is reported as a generic pontetial malware so I beleave it's a heuristic problem but not sure. I will wait for the AVG Support (I'm in Brazil and we have local support).
Thanks for the advice anyway!
