Hi ! I've been using ChunkVNC since several years with some little bugs but as a very good free replacement for Teamviewer.
Since the Windows 10 1083 update ChunkVNC still works, but when I try to install it as a service (in order to access admin windows, and to get unattend access after a reboot of the remote computer) I lose access, it never contacts my repeater.
I found that the service is installed in the Services management windows (registered as uvnc_service, ImagePath is "C:\Program Files (x86)\InstantSupport\InstantSupportVNC.exe" -service) but it's stopped. When I try to start it manually I get an error 193 : 0xc1
I then went to System events in the Windows Events log (not sure how it's called in english), there I find the error (in french) : Le service uvnc_service n’a pas pu démarrer en raison de l’erreur :
uvnc_service n’est pas une application Win32 valide. which means something like uvnc_service is not a valid Win32 application.
Can someone help me ? I tried uvnc2me, but I'm not sure it can install as a service and allow me to get control after a reboot.
Lastly, if someone knows a (really) free and simple remote control program, I could be interested.
