Sorry, but i current don't have time as i need to finish some commercial application.
I have a week ( 11-17 feb) to finish this software or create a rc2.

Please add some required modifications requests to this thread.

Hi

Really useful tool. Have been using V1 for many years.

I would like:-

* To use SC tool to create exe which will allow access code to be changed. When I have download RC1, if I enter a blank access code, it uses a blank access code which cannot be changed.
* To use SC tool to create exe which automatically sets the access code to be the host name.

So ideally, pchelpware server exe should by default set the accesscode to be the host name, but allow it to be changed on demand. In my case, I want to have a download on my website which people can use to get support, but I want to be able to support two people simultaneously who use the same download.

These are all for SC exe on RC1, I haven't installed the service yet.

* I know it's already been asked, so probably already on your list, but when downloading SC server via IE I'm getting invalid certificate which means no open from ie automatically - pls could you remove invalid certificate as it's worse than no certificate at all? Although to get around it, I can get them to save to desktop or wherever and then open from there, it just slows down the process a bit.

* It seems that, at least for XP, "unblock" of windows firewall is not required, even though it is prompted. I just tested it using a "restricted user" and although I was warned about blocked connection, was still able to connect even ignoring the windows firewall warning. Is there a way to stop the firewall warning?

* when choosing "access desktop" from the viewer, could the behaviour and appearance be changed?-

1. When requesting connection, perhaps the message should be displayed and kept on display in case the person is away and will be coming back?

2. For the open desktop permission, Please could you change the default message for accept desktop dialog, which is currently "Accept Remote access" in the SC tool to "Accept Remote access? Message: " That would prevent the slightly messy message presented to the user.

* does sc exe work when set up with group and both server and client are on the same natted lan? I have tested 3 x local servers (xp, vista and7) and all failed to connect, although I have tested 3x remote xp server and the viewer pc (w7 64) as server and all connected fine. Would be convenient if it did work using the same settings when on and off-site, assuming that it's not some problem my end.

Thanks for the excellent tool.

* edit reason: Now I understand the accept settings behaviour, behaviour can be set for server, and is auto accept for sc.

Any way for the supported person (running service/or sc) to "ask for help" or "send a message" via tray icon?
Like at supermarket checkout, indicator flashes for assistance, in this case a notification to viewer's desktop? also to clear request.

The reason is because some of my more familiar customers just open pchelpware v1 and immediately give me remote control of their systems when I haven't asked for it. This can save time.

Any way to view the log of connections, connection attempts etc.?

I right click on viewer, setup p2p, it says "initializing connection" on server, get flashing icons, then lights stop flashing, and no connection.

Would be nice to know where it's going wrong.

Changed ( in source, will be in next build )

accesscode=""--> Set hostname + edit field
invalid cert: cert of sfx extractor need to be removed, you append the archieve -> crc changed -> invalid cert.
Valid certificat can only be created if archieve is signed, not the sfx part :( , only possible with some online creator app

Firewall warning is issue's by the OS, can't be stopped.

Lan: if server/viewer have the same external address the internal port/address is used.
Sample
10.10.10.1 -> router -> 153.23.23.26 -> access server
10.10.10.2 -> router -> 153.23.23.26 -> access server
The access server get both server/viewer from the same origin (153.23.23.26), in this case he tell server and viewer
to use 10.10.10.x addresses to connect. This works on my home network, but seems to fails on yours.
It could be some internal security setting

Some "realtime" logging need to be added, to see what happen when nothing connects. The icons are to restricted.
