Install freeze 1.1.9.6 Windows 7 64

Post by px03afk »

I have just downloaded 1.1.9.6 msi installer for Windows 7 64 bit. When I tried to install the install hung up and Explorer stopped responding and I also couldn't get CTL-ALT-DEL to do anything so I was forced to power off an on. On reload I started the install again and it asked me if I wanted to continue - to which I said Yes and this time it got to running setcad, and again it stalled the machine. I tried once more but was obviously getting nowhere but as I couldn't be sure how far the install had progressed I decided to run uninst (directly from the disc, not though control panel) and that caused a hang up as well.

Not sure if it is relevant but I already have the 32 bit version of 1.1.8 installed.

Msi is only aware of older installations done by the msi installer.
From OS point, the msi installer is a different install that a setup made by ino setup.

So it could be that the msi can't proper install because another program ( uvnc installed by inno) is already runnning.
