On some machines WinVNC uses a wrong systray icon. You can reproduce this problem if you install the windows installation package of NMAP. Thereafter winvnc uses the icon of the included zenmap.
According to process explorer it seems that WinVNC scans the whole windows and program folders for a file icon1.ico and takes the first one it finds.
I recommend you scan the ultravnc folder only!
