How to refresh revoked GlobalSign Root CA Certificate

Post by karlk123 »

I was getting Java security errors with the version 1.0.8 uvnc s/w installed, so I uninstalled it and installed the 1.2.1 version. The initial Java error was because the GlobalSign Root CA certificate was revoked, probably because the version expired on March 18, 2014. I had hoped that by installed the 1.2.1 version, this would go away but it has not. On one PC that did not have version 1.0.8 installed, I do not get the Java revoked certificate error. So that leads me to believe that somehow the original certificate is cached somewhere on the other PC, or that uninstalling the version 1.0.8 s/w was not clean.

While I can make the error message go away by changing a setting in the Java Console to not check the certificate chain, that is not desirable because I work with many users outside of my company.

Any ideas on how to fix this? The GlobalSign Root CA is version 3, S/N 1208925819615929644152740, valid March 18, 2011 to March 18, 2014.
