RC11 (b,c, d...) is VERY slow over modem/cable connections

Post by UltraSam »

With RC11 versions (including RC11d), the video driver is not optimized for slow connexions and sends every single server mouse cursor movement to the viewer.
As the driver is amazingly fast, it just floods the slow connection with mouse cursor moves...

Solution: simply desactivate the Video Driver in WinVNC property page when you use Ultr@VNC v1.0.0 RC11 over a slow connection.

IMPORTANT: this problem is solved in versions from RC12 (RC14, RC15, RC16 and all upcoming versions), because the new video driver supports "harware cursor" and does no more kill the connection with cursor moves. MORE: the performance is improved over slow connections when the video driver is activated on the server.
