Windows 10 Pro
Just installed UntraVNC 1.2.15 x 64
All working fine.
I see this program Launch
I find the path add a password
I then try to Add a server click save and place in a file
But it does not save or create a file any where
First is this a place where I can add all my servers then elect from it?
If so then what am I doing wrong here
I find no documentation on this program
Thanks in advance
Tom

Re: Launch Not saving
Rudi
Thanks for the documentation
Still not getting this
I have several saved .VNC files in a folder for which I can right click and launch them with VNCViewer no problem.
It is the UltraVNC Launcher that does not see the file structure at all
It defaults to a folder SERVERS and there is nothing listed
I have this folder path to vncviewer C:\Program Files\uvnc bvba\UltraVNC
I even added the path for the vncviewer to ultravnc launcher when it starts but still no luck
I even created this folder C:\Program Files\uvnc bvba\UltraVNC\Servers placed a few .VNC files and still UltraVNC Viewer does not see the files
The file association for the >VNC files are good.
I am puzzled here
Any ideas?
Thank you
Tom

Re: Launch Not saving
Doc is not clear, the launcher only look in the subfolder uvnc releative to his own exe.
/launcher.exe
/uvnc/host1.vnc
/uvnc/host2.vnc
/uvnc/grouped/host4.vnc
/uvnc/grouped/host5.vnc
/launcher.exe
/uvnc/host1.vnc
/uvnc/host2.vnc
/uvnc/grouped/host4.vnc
/uvnc/grouped/host5.vnc

Re: Launch Not saving
Rudi,
I figured it out
I created a new folder on the C Drive
c:\UVNC
Then I copied UNVC_Launch.exe into that folder
I then doubled click on the file and UNVC_Luanch started to my surprise it then create a sub folder name unvc and placed a file unvclaunch.ini
Next I edited that ini file and added the path to the vncviewer.exe file
I was now able to create a vnc server and save it I also copied all my .vnc files create a path in the new UNVC folder and now UNVC_Launch shows all the servers and workstations
Must be a bug in the program not to work in the install folder c:\program files\unvs bvba
I am happy it is working but maybe someone can fix this for another release
Thanks
Tom

Re: Launch Not saving
Program files is a protected folder only elevated admin have write access. Part of UAC.
*we need to move launcher out of the program files or at least add some popup that tell access is restricted
"launcher started with run as admin" start have write access.
Once configured you only need read access
