ip address change notify?

Post by manu08 »

I do not have a static ip and i have a desktop and laptop. I go to my friends places and use my laptop and access my desktop but the problem is that my ip address is not static so sometimes i am unable to connect cause i got the wrong ip. Is there any way of making my ip address static or any software that could notify me every time my ip address is changed, preferably send an email to my email address every time it is changed or something like that?

use client DDNS supported from your home router
or
install client on your home computer if not available on your router or you have only a modem.

DDNS = Dynamic Domain Name System
please read your manual router if available

if available... go to registration of service DDNS
create your account
and create your personal host of available free DDNS

example:
tartempion.ddns.org
myhome.ddns.tld

when is done,
you must input this freshly created account in your client of your home router OR home computer.
when is done,

so, you need open port 5900 in your router (NAT or firewall) of if is only a modem, open port 5900 on your windows firewall for to be accessible from your notebook outside of your home (anywhere where is Internet available)
when is fullfill.

you just need to remember your personal host you have created for connect to your home with your notebook computer !

open vncviewer
host: myhome.ddns.tld

that's all.
