record vnc session to a file for playback

It would be nice if I could play back an entire ultravnc session like a video. Is it possible?

This will be achieved by merging with the comanion "vnc2swf" that records/saves the session in Flash files that can be played everywhere.

Looking forward to that!!!

I believe the RealVNC client has this ability. Also, there's a proxy called RBFProxy (I think) that sits between the client and the server, and records everything into somewhat of a standard file format (There's a separate program to play back sessions, and I think a few other programs use the same format). Would be really cool if the repeater II could do that! I bet it would be easy if the source code was available (Hint, hint...)

There are tools that can record and playback VNC-sessions:

But they use java for it.

The VNC2SWF is a great idea, but it will only work on a linux computer. It would be great to have something like this available for windows too.

Wow! I think that is a great idea.

I have seen call monitor systems that record the screen while the enduser is on a call. I wonder if they were done with VNC? I'm sure this couldn't be too hard to do.
