Cannot get Repeater working

Post by jghek »

Hi all,

I've been trying to get the repeater to work, but without any success. I'd love some help here.

I've setup a plain vanilla windows 2022 standard server, running repeater_1400.exe. I have opened ports on the windows firewall (80, 5901, 5500). This machine is on a DMZ. The firewall NATs ports 5901 and 5500 to an outside interface. It runs in the cloud. At home I've setup UltraVNC server as a service and configured the reverse connection [-autoreconnect ID:1234 -connect some.host.com:5500]. That appears to work. Looking at the stats page on the repeater shows a waiting server on ID 1234. Cool. Now I take another machine and install UltraVNC (Viewer only, not as service?). When connecting to the repeater the viewer shows: Negotiating Protocol. Nothing more.
