I have a dell laptop and when the lid is closed the screen driver 'powers off', leaving the VNC screen static and unresponsive.
The power settings has 'Turn Display off: Never'
What can I do to fix this?

@mvandere2: Try the virtual monitor driver, when the lid close the monitor is disconnected and VNC doesn't have a screen to clone.

The 'mirror Driver' says it is not supported >= 8, so that can't be it
