I am not looking for session encryption, just want to know if the logon can be encrypted. Thanks!

Logon information has a simple encryption... it is ok for local lan.

For internet use, you better add the encryption plugin..

Encryption is started before you logon and encapsulate also the user/passwd

so it isn't sent in clear text? i am running ultravnc on a number of servers on our contingency site, and we're looking into broadening the use due to the fact that we can keep track of logons using windows authentication.
do you have information on the encryption plugin?

thanks for your reply.
