File transfer: "Quick links" to subdirectories

Post by Max »

Every time you open the file transfer window you have to navigate to the correct subdirectories on both the local and remote machine. I think it would be nice if

1) UltraVNC would remember which subdirectories you were in the last time you did a file transfer. At least within the same session this should be fairly easy to do.

2) If you could have a list of "quick links" to the subdirectories you most often navigate to. This could either be implemented as: a) you select what directories you want to have as quick links. or b) the last 5 (or 10 or whatever) subdirectories you made a file transfer to/from

I think this would greatly enhance the functionality of the file transfer capabilities of UltraVNC.

Thanks.

I agree :D

1) For now, in the same session, you can use the "minimize" button in the FT Window instead of closing it. This way when you restore it you're still in the same directories that you were in when you minimized the FT window.

2) It implies a persistence of the visited directories somewhere (a txt or ini file in the viewer directory or in the registry). 'have to think about it.

What I´d also love to see are quick links to 'Desktop' and 'My documents' (as in standard windows file dialogs), as navigating to those two on a NT system is really quite a pain in the ...
