I run 1280x1024 resolution on my workstation, and when I connect to a uvnc server running the same, the auto-scale feature brings the viewer down to 85%, so no scrolling is needed. This is nice.
The thing I do not like about auto-scaling is that it will go above 100% if I connect to a uvnc server with a lower resolution, and this is quite ugly.
It would be nice if the auto-scale would never exceed 100%. This way, I could leave the auto-scale option activated by default (in my options.vnc file), and I'd get 100% scale when connecting to lower resolution displays and a scaled-down view when connecting to an equal/larger uvnc server.
Just a thought for a little convenience feature.

let the choice for user to select the best view as needed
to satisfaction everyone like RDP/VNC from Knoppix
(no need knowledge to use it
- auto scrolling full screen (actual wrong name as auto scale screen need to replaced with auto scroll or auto pan)
- auto scale full screen (missing feature needed true name auto scale)
(now buggy, black border (at right and at below)
- auto scale smaller size to bigger size (lock to 100% as limit)
1024x768 --> 1280x1024
- auto scale smaller size to bigger size (interpolation server size --> viewer size)
1024x768 --> 1280x1024
- auto scale bigger size to smaller size
(unlock to auto find self size to adapt for full screen)
1280x1024 --> 1024x768 (possible with Knoppix RDP/VNC and very nice.
Try it and you everybody can understand.
We would be very happy can be fixed to V1.x
