Made Custom SC..what now?

So, I created my own custom sc, compiled the exe, put it on a machine outside my network, configured port forwarding on my firewall....but when I run it on the machine outside my network, nothing happens....it tries to establish the connection for 5 min and uninstalls...
Do I have to run something different on my machine?
Any help would be appreciated. Thx!

Thx for the link. Got it work... needed "::" before the port#, not just ":"
