Hi Folks, my first entry here..
I've been using using UltraVNC since a while and I'm very happy with it.
I do use the repeater and a clients' EXE File to open the access remotely through the firewall - so far everything works fine.
Vista Final:
First, the Client has to run the EXE File (right mouse click) as Administrator of the machine, which is not always possible. (Client User should NOT know the MS local Administrator credentials..
Then, the performance is lousy, even with 8 colors, there is no significant speed up.
I'am using local (Operator) the 1.02 version of the Viewer and some 1.01 Version of the "single click on" EXE File.
Can anyone help me with these problems?
Thanks for the support!

I have the same problem...
It works fine on VISTA after some reading and testing I have got it to work, my only problem are also the performance. The screen ar updating only every 10-20 second, and my command (mouse and key) from UVNC Viewer takes the same time too register on the server machine.
I am using UVNC on other computers, and it works fine, but this is my fist on VISTA.
I know, there are no support of VISTA yet, but I hop that some one know (or think they know) how too solve this problem. |
