Hi,
Is there any way to enable multiple VNC users (Viewers) to use the same VNC Server concurrently, and for each user to have their own desktop?
In other posts I've read here I've gathered that this may be a limitation of the protocol Ultra VNC uses, that all users share the same desktop?
I've tried logging-in using 2 different user accounts on the server (with VNC using MS Logon), but both users seem to be given the same desktop, which makes it impossible for more than one user using Ultra VNC Viewer to work concurrently on the same server....
Any suggestions are most welcome. I'm new to Ultra VNC, so please let me know if I'm missing something simple---hopefully that''s all it is!
Thanks,
Sean

Re: Multiple concurrent VNC Viewers on the same VNC Server?
Thanks for your reply redge, but I don't completely understand, can you please clarify?
My objective was to use Ultra VNC instead of Windows Terminal Services----apparently Terminal Services causes some memory mapping issues with OLAP Cubes.....
The server is Windows 2003 Server, and the viewers are Windows XP, but 2 or more VNC viewers would like to have different desktops on the server at the same time....
Are you saying this can only be done using Terminal Services?
Thanks,
Sean

Re: Multiple concurrent VNC Viewers on the same VNC Server?
SMurphy, I'm needing to do exactly what you're doing. Windows 2003 Small Business Server doesn't allow more than 2 RDP connections to terminal services.
I was hoping VNC could help with this, but apparently not since one desktop is shared between all connected users.
If you ever figure something out, please post your findings here.

Re: Multiple concurrent VNC Viewers on the same VNC Server?
how about using a Virtual Desktop Manager on the windows server and have each VNC user view a different desktop.
