user name and password

Good Day All

I am so sorry I know the below is really stupid, I have read all the options but still not winning.

I have installed viewer on my pc and server on the other machine. I am not a user of that machine. When I connect to the ip address of the pc it asked for a user name and password. So I added my self as a user on the machine and tried it does not work. Is there no way that when I connect to the machine I just input the password I entered in the VNC settings. Or how should I do it.

The other think I would like to know is how do I make sure that the user on the other machine does not change or exit the VNC application

I am really new to this so please help me.

Non admin users normal can"t change the password and settings. In RC6, using the ultravnc.ini file you can set standard file permissions. Read for all, write only for....

I made sure that the MSLOGON is un checked on both sides. But it still comes up with a user name and password

You need to deselect both New MS Logon and Require MS Logon on the remote machine. Then ensure that you set up a VNC Password.
