unable to place a connection

I subscribed to dyndns.org, set up my Linksys WRT54GS router to use my host name, after not being able to place a connection using my public IP, but i am still unable to connect to the laptop, i've modified the supportdesk.txt in the "single click" ultravnc file to this,

[HOST]
Agent Support - No Encryption
-connect MYHOSTNAME.dyndns.org:5500 -noregistry

and on my winxp pro. machine at home, i run the vncviewer (listen mode) that it set to automatically use port:5500 when i go to: start>all progras>ultravnc>Ultra vncviewer>run ultra vncviewer (listen mode) but the connection does not happen between home pc and laptop (either across networks or same local network) am i doing something wrong here? do i need to entered something inside the vncviewer? in these fields.
