DirectX not work with ultravnc server mirror driver.
solution, use opengl software for google earth, less responsive and not optimized but is usable remotely. _________________ UltraVNC 1.0.8.2 release (built 20091207)

Ok, i finish first test.
- Under XP, DirectX application dont work when video hook driver2 is activated, exactly like the previous version.
- Under Vista, DirectX application work when video driver2 is activated, very good news, the application works pretty well with moving full map on screen faster than the pevious version Good work with 105 !!

It has actual nothing to do with the driver, but it is how the Vista and XP desktop differ.
XP: directx apps has there own directx window on a gdi desktop
Vista: The whole desktop is directx, each app is like a texture of the directx desktop... To be able to run on older hardware it also work in basic mode ( the mode that get activated when a mirror driver is started)
Thanks MS for the change, not the driver code _________________ http://www.pchelpware.com

Redge, i tried your dll this morning, i replaced, reboot, unfortunately no effect, my application dont work on the client screen under XP when the pilot hook driver2 is activated.
I use special aero navigation application software under DirectX, it is the first time i can see my application running under the video hook driver2 of UVNC activated, it works only with Vista, but it is for me very interesting step farther, because i win the faster moving map on screen.
Of course, i am looking the more speed as possible, UltraVNC 1.05 seem's today the most fast software only under Vista.
I need the more speed refresh screen as possible, because i use radar scanner with lot of things moving on pictures refreshing, but i dont looking for frame rate 30pics/sec, if i get 10/15pics/sec it will be nice with resolution 1024x768.
When i use application like office under Vista, these applications are slow.
Under XP, the office applications move very fast, it mean's under XP the UVNC is very fast like before version.
I am pretty sure, if the DirectX could be supported with video hook driver2 v1.05 under XP we will obtain better results than Vista.
What is your opinion ? |
