Feel like this is going to be one of those stupid questions but I can't work it out.
SC works fine internally. Once I try and use it from outside over the internet though the remote PC is very brightly coloured. Fiddled with the colour and compression options on my end in the viewer but it stays the same. For example all the windows task bars, borders etc that are grey are bright red instead!
Same if it is encrypted or not encrypted.
What the hell am I missing?

Is that the remote PC that is outside ?
I mean, between the 2 tests, is that the server that is a different machine, or the viewer ?
If that's the server: check the color depth of the server desktop that is causing bright colors.
If that's the viewer: check the colors settings in the Options window. The 8 or 4 colors settings could give this result...
