Well, you know, supercoe, if you want to get really ambitious about it, you could encourage development of a network of such repeaters, much as Skype did (though they did it without exactly letting the users know what was going on).
I don't suppose I'd mind running a public repeater, so long as it had self-contained bandwidth limiting controls, much as BitTorrent clients typically do.
Since you're already bundling viewer/repeater/server, this would be an obvious fit for your project.
You could even make some sort of dynamic DNS registry available to hand out x.chunkvncrepeater.org addresses, and the ChunkVNC package could automatically query in random, roundrobin, or near-geolocation fashion for available repeaters.
With encryption at the viewer and server ends, this would still be safe, and it could be a beautiful thing.
Or have I gone mad?
