Hello all,
Im trying to setup chunkvnc with no success.
It ran just fine over LAN but after trying some friend to connect to the repeater it just didint go through.
I used all possible ports but 5500, does port 5500 is mandatory to make it work?
Also I replaced the vncviewer.exe and winvnc.exe that came with chinkvnc package with those of the latest ultravnc package.
Im using dynamic ip with no-ip service I did the necesary configuration to my router so instead of saying NAT/router in my no-ip client it says "local" and I did the port forwarding and my friend cant connect to the repeater.
One last thing. My repeater is in "Mode ll" and when ticking "enable dynamic ip services" I restart the repeater and then again i have to tick the option.
How to make a succesfully connection?
I will appreciate the answer thank you

Can't connect from the internet
Re: Can't connect from the internet
You've kind of lost me, but it seems you're doing too much.
You can select whatever port you want; you tell the "Compiler" what to encode; it handles the Viewer and Server ini files. I think you need to manually tell the repeater via its Options, Setting page; it encodes it in binary in a file misleadingly called settings.txt.
I've enabled all modes; I don't think it matters since ChunkVNC only uses one mode (still haven't figured out which).
Anyway, if it works locally and doesn't remotely, one has to look at what the router's doing. Forget No-IP for a moment and test with the publicly available IP address of the router.
Also, be aware that if you encode the ChunkVNC executables with the local IP address or local DNS name of the repeater, they will of course NOT work when run from outside your LAN.
In my case I create two sets of executables, one for internal use and one for remote access. If you run through the ChunkVNC forum I've described this in detail ad nauseum....
