Popup: This machine has been preconfigured...

Post by Prisma »

Since we have disabled the need of an password because the server don't accept socket connections and the customer establishes only reverse connections on his own demand, on Win7 machines a Popup appears, saying "This machine has been preconfigured to...".

This Popup makes sense regarding socket connections. But why does this only appear on win7 machines, doesn't it? And how to circumvent this Popup? If no socket connection is accepted and a reverse connection is used, the absence of a password is not really a security leak.

Open the ultravnc.ini, check the setting

AllowProperties=

If its value is "0", an authentication-diabled server will bring up the said popup.

In this case, change this setting to "1" will solve the problem.
