VNC Server and Delphi Applications

Post by SamSo »

Since winvnc version 1.1.8 the mask-edit fields created with Embarcardero Delphi IDE do not show any character. Sometimes the application crashes. Until version 1.0.9.6.2 this works. Host is Windows 7-64 - no hook.dll - no mirror driver. Demo-Application can posted.

If you have an app that can let the ser er crash please mail it.
I can only fix things when able to repeat them in debug mode.

That's harder to debug...as it wil not show any relevant information in winvnc.exe debug output.

Are you using the same settings for 118 and 109.

Yes, same settings.
I think the problem has something to do how winvnc send the keyboard data to the edit window. For every keystroke the cursor moves two character positions. If I have time I will try to add some debug info too my demo application.

The Problem exists also in 1.1.9.3. The Problem exists only if the "Poll Full Screen"-Option is activated. The Options "Poll Forground Window" and "Poll Window under Cursor" can be activated without errors.
