VNC in a Stealth mode

Any way to run VNC in a stealth mode? It seems people like to mess with every icon on thier desktop.

the newest version allows you to click a setting and disable tray icon or forbid the user to close down winvnc. However if they are administrators on the local computer they can find a way around it if they wanted to.

are you talking about running the winvnc server/service without displaying the system tray icon?

if so, here is the registry setting:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\DisableTrayIcon

0 = show icon (default)
1 = hide icon

restart the server/service and the icon will either show/hide based on your setting.

actually, you can double click the winvnc server icon and check "disabletrayicon" and it will have the same effect. just restart the service and the icon will be gone.
