SCIII moved from Alpha to Beta

closed port 443 5500 and 5900 on NAT router and enabled windows firewall and active "don't allow exceptions",
it works for viewer and scIII

I'm very very impressed about your SCIII, so big great work

very happy to see your sotfware work more friendly end user after every new build.

report:
when 2 computers starting ScIII_test3 with same ID
1 viewer using same ID for trying to support 2 computers at same time
only 1 accepted, normal ?
2nd session nothing... no prompt for accept or refuse 2nd session from 2nd computers started scIII_test3 ?
limitation or under development or bug ?

viewer updated, cancel issue

Modified the auto settings, color switching crash zrle encoder.
(256 colors fixed, unless you set them manual)

very goooooood

well, for better user friendly
if only user pushed "Cancel", then re-open vncviewer.
otherwise, show classic error message: Connection failed - ....

On the viewer site is the software specialist....
We may expect some some PC knowledge on that site.

Repeater
The only remaining prob is that the SSLrepeater is not stable enough..
I'm trying to find what makes it non functional, possible some 443 portscanners
or standard web access to the repeater.
Still some work on that site, but debug is hard. It does not crash but only
does not longer work.

Fixed: non ssl connection blocked listening thread
added: time +traffic logging per ID

-try with webbrowser
-non ssl server/viewer (standard SC)
-ssl server/viewer (http://sc.uvnc.com/SCIII)
Repeater should be able to handle SSL and non SSL connections
(non SSL 5500 and 5901)(SSL 443)
-portscanner (please only use 443)

I can crash the new vncviewer_crash_fix.exe

how to:

1st vncviewer_crash_fix connected to client SCIII_test4, OK

Then start 2nd vncviewer_crash_fix from same computer ...
open 2nd session even with an different ID,
vncviewer fail and show "runtime error, abnormal termination"

1st vncviewer_crash_fix session stay alive and continue work as normal

Sorry, multiple viewers are not possible.

Internal ports(59000) use a listener, you can only have 1 listener
on the same port. Dynamic internal ports make the viewer differ to much
from the standard....perhaps later.

The viewer try to port between a try catch, and generates a runtime error
if port is already in use. I could replace the " runtime error" by a message box, but i want to have the errors in the bug build.

You can NOT make multiple viewer connections simultanious.

The question was...try to crash the repeater, as it is more important
that that part keeps running at least a few days without requiring a restart.

test SCIII_test4.exe successfull only 2 times with proxy https located in Belgium

>1min before connection live

put proxy in IE... including local computers
logoff... login

change proxy...
129.132.57.3:3128 Anonymous Switzerland

logoff ... login

let viewer quickly close without any message and SCIII_test4 wait connected...
nothing (fail)

list public proxy available here, let me know what you want I test type of proxy !

uvnc.com is hosted in the USA, not belgium. Cheaper
70$ ->50EURO
Own server, 10Mb up/down, max data volume 1T

The proxy need to be https/socks4/socks5

Repeater was gone....i was hoping that it crashed, but a proper shutdown
does not give me any clue why.

Perhaps i just put a loop around the start

The bmp is loaded from custom file,like background...
You always can replace it.

Extract the exe...and check also the helpdesk.txt.

(last available is SC20.3 based)
(so i can put my own ID preconfigured as much a simple) and bypass NAT with the power of this build and select my repeater in Switzerland distributer4

that'd be extremly cool ... while looking forward to this, another question:
As most of the users I want to use SC to support my customers.
How can I ensure, that only MY customers can use my Repeater ?
Filtering ports / IPs at a firewall is no solution as most of my customers
use dynamic IPs ...

Test out entering a ID number then backspacing on it. When I backspace is doesnt rub out the characters.

Repeater is still unstable, seems to hang from time to time.
Current don't count on it...only use for testing

Why ?

so you can have a specialist as well but not as technical software bug,
only as application specialist like painter know very well how to create a beautiful picture or help someone to do it remotely but not understanding what happen if her remote control fail and how to explain to be understandable, so only developer can put some good hint of way of problem inside the software report (not technical word are understandable for end-user)(Or laziness of reading, lack of time of reading of lot documentation)

Understanding this point of view ?

SC need to be extreme easy
Viewer needs to be as easy as posible.

On the SC site the super dumy... on the viewer site the dumy.
