In dealing as a remote Client, who is helping and teaching a non-PC-aware person, I would find it useful to give the Server conrtol of only the mouse, or only the keyboard, in certain circumstances. I want to be able communicate with the Server operator for instance, and have them able to reply, but not have control of the mouse, which they have several times used to creat complete confusion at both ends <G>.
However there are times when I want the Server operator to have control of the mouse and keyboard, so they can show me something that they are trying to do.
