PChelpware_viewer

Post by bnichlsn »

Hi,

I have successfully created and run several directly connected test servers from PcHelpWare_rel10.zip. I appear to have successfully created a Custom Server using PcHelpWare_rel10_SCgui.zip. (I regularly use Uvnc Single Click so used appropriate icons, helpdesk.txt etc from that).

What I am missing is a PChelpware_viewer.exe to access my Custom Server, or instructions on how to configure the existing PChelpware_viewer.exe. I cannot find this vital information on any online documentation or this forum.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your very quick response.

Oops!! I was trying to be too clever! Of course I have a copy of PChelpware_viewer.exe. That's what I used to create several test servers. However, having created a new Custom Server, I thought that I had to embed a new Alias, Password etc into the Custom Server to make it work with the viewer. I did not realise that I just used PChelpware_viewer.exe as a simple viewer and only had to enter 5500 into the Listen Port. May I suggest adding a simple note to this effect in the Customisation section of the manual?

The Custom Server now works fine with the Viewer! Thank you.

However, I did have major network problems today with wired/wireless/XP/Vista computers, but I guess I will have to check the forum first before starting a new topic.

Thanks again for your help.
