How to easily change icon1?

Hi all

I have been searching the forum to find a simple 'how to' so that I can change the icon which is used for the systray & the self extracting .exe file.

I have tried just changing the icon within the create_server folder but nothing seems to help.

Can anyone help...a simple how to would be great, however if it is indepth then that would be great also!

You have to open a dos window (Run | CMD)

Then change to the folder where your files are in.. (use backslashes)

cd F:\Install\Utilities\PcHelpWare\create_server\server

if you are changing the icon on the default server program then (and put a copy of the icon called icon1.ico here in this folder first from windows:

replaceicon pchelpware_server.exe icon1.ico

if you are replacing one already made it will be something like:

replaceicon ..\..\myservers\serverame\pchelpware_server.exe icon1.ico

I have followed your instructions, however I am receiving the following error:

error: Could not update (add new) resource

Hello,

i`m using the pchelpware program and it works fine for me but i have one problem. when i want to change the icon it will not work.
i`m using windows vista ultimate 64bit on my computer and when i want to use replace icon it will not change it.
what can i do about this.

Sorry i din`t look far enough. the resourcehack program is the solution.

but anyway thanks
