Is it possible to change the original french translation?
i've found many syntax errors (sorry for the french translator) in trans_server.txt and trans_viewer.txt. i can also add new translations for some items that aren't translated.

1) Russian 95% done.
I translate it for myself. There can be some mistakes, that's why somebody must check translation.
Some strings cannot be translated, because they are to big for buttons.
Some are meanless on Russian(without full change of it's structure).
2) It was hard to me to start the translation, because it's hard to understand how it must be done. Please write small Example.
I Just Translate strings ("Error" to "Ошибка"[Oshibka]). I don't touch string "LANGUAGE LANG_ENGLISH, SUBLANG_ENGLISH_US".
3) This 90% dll is placed here: http://mexmat.sgu.ru/mac/Rus.dll
4) Maybe (if I have time) i will translate manuals into russian.
5) Offtopic: Is ULTRAVNC free for use in commercial corporation(I want use it in my firm, where i'm working)? Please write me into Private message. |

Some are meanless on Russian(without full change of it's structure). | Please give some examples (EN vs. RU) so we can imagine the problem. In case of Russian I can explain the problem to the devs. Also I will ask one of my friends - who are native speakers unlike me - to check your translation.

I Just Translate strings ("Error" to "Ошибка"[Oshibka]). I don't touch string "LANGUAGE LANG_ENGLISH, SUBLANG_ENGLISH_US". | I suggest we write a tool to aid in translation or to extract the strings in one language. We have the same problem in the WinDirStat project and might join forces!
СГУ sounds like university, but if you need webspace to complete your translation, don't hesitate to ask. I can provide you with some.
| MaC wrote: | | 4) Maybe (if I have time) i will translate manuals into russian. | Well, I guess this is never priority. Never has been in most of the "russified" apps I have seen in Ukraine, at least ...

This is tedious and costs a lot of time though - especially since this is not my only project.

Да я уже стал забывать его (I started to forget it.)
I'm native russian(more than 20 years:) ), but computer changed my russian. Some strings possible may haven't absolutely correct structure.

Examples are:
"WriteExact: DSMPlugin-TransformBuffer Error.". I understand what it means, but I can't understand how to translate it.
"Daemon". It can be translated like "Daemon"("Демон") or "Service" ("Служба")
In connection window there is "Quick options" "AUTO", "ULTRA" and others...
In "file transfer" there is enough place for Button "Rename" - "Переименовать" [Pereimenovat'], but not enough for symbols "- >"
In "Chat window" button "Send" - "Отправить" [Otpravit'].
Strings, which I couldn't translate, I just didn't touch.

You correct: SGU (on Russian) or SSU (on English) - Saratov State University is place where i'm study and work. It is not hard to me to place files there. More problem is language.

ULTRAVNC will be used for remote control of computers, in commercial firm (not in SGU). We user cracked Remote Administrator, but computer policeman come and take computers .

P.S. dll updated

| MaC wrote: | | "WriteExact: DSMPlugin-TransformBuffer Error.". I understand what it means, but I can't understand how to translate it. | Don't. Just don't translate it. Instead write:
"Ошибка - WriteExact: DSMPlugin-TransformBuffer Error."
Such messages are most often useful to the programmer only. The user does not need to understand such messages anyway. If a user would use the program and got such an error message he would probably ask back and the developer could not understand the message if it was Russian
| MaC wrote: | | "Daemon". It can be translated like "Daemon"("Демон") or "Service" ("Служба") | I'd go for служба.

In "Chat window" button "Send" - "Отправить" [Otpravit']. | Yap, as I said, we have this problem with WinDirStat too. The only method to mitigate this is a sizer-based dialog.

| MaC wrote: | ULTRAVNC will be used for remote control of computers, in commercial firm (not in SGU). We user cracked Remote Administrator, but computer policeman come and take computers . | Это без проблем ...

The trans_server.txt and trans_viewer.txt in the main folder are dated 2004 and I'm not sure if they represent the latest version.
Any suggestion where to get the latest RC files from? | I guess your best bet would be the CVS repository on the project page.
But things have to get consolidated in this project, alone I don't find the time currently to actively participate.
BTW: http://windirstat.info doesn't have a Bulgarian translation either _________________ Oliver (aka Assarbad)

I can translate very well but I am not so familiar with codes.
I have to learn.
I do not care to learn, but probably I need some
support.
Is ther any dutch person who wants to do it together with me?
Is there any english support with the codes
whom I can skype and who wants to take some time
to help me starting in the system?
pls let me know.

Hi Friends!
I am from Brasil. I tryed to find some Brazillian Portuguese Translation, and as I could not find I have made my own, using resource hacker over French vnclang.dll, using ResourceHacker.
I would like to share it with the comunity and ask if someone is interested to review, I will be glad to correct it.
http://www.guiadocftv.com.br/downloads/uvnc/portuguese-br.zip
For who is looking for an Ultra VNC tutorial I am making on describing installation process and use in Brazillian Portuguese.
Best Regards to all _________________ Marcelo Peres
