Problem with generating key- v11d

Post by elbiatcho1 »

I've recently had to do a system restore and for some reason I now cannot generate a proper key (contents of rc4.key only has "128 bit" or "40 bit" depending on what bit I chose to generate. Textpad shows "128 bit" followed by 4 solid squares).

Attempting to connect to my file server resulted in "DSMPlugin cannot be configured" message. Searched this board about that error but I think my problem is different.

Tried logging with no results. Attempted uninstall/reinstall. Tried to find and remove vnc related reg. settings.

So I'm at a loss at what system restore (an older restore) rolled back that would affect ultravnc.

Try it on a newer VNC install some of the older versions will have problems with windows 2000 and Windows XP because of Micro$oft updates and service packs
