My AVG Pro just came up saying your latest version is a virus when i went to download it. I am thinking this is a false positive but we still can not have avg or any other virus program detecting this as a threat... _________________ Bevtech

Just some things I noticed.
1. If you have / use less then 3 of the connection options. All 3 buttons still are visible and useless.
2. There are only 3 connections options. Could the connection buttons be turned back into a list that could support more then 3 connections ? |

Yes, it's probably detecting that the program was made using AutoIT. Which can be used to script malicious programs, however this program is, obviously, completely legit.
However, while we know that, it's no use if SC is used to support customers. They won't trust you anymore if you have them use a program which their antivirus program detects as being a virus...
So, I'm still looking for a SC Vista solution which works without AutoIT... anyway, I do still appreciate all the effort that went into it! |

Maybe I should look at SC again?
I thought VNC SC died with XP (never worked well in Vista).
So we went to PCHelpware.
Both were pretty good with XP, but Vista -- just too much lag.
So then we went to Advantig.com/Oneclick. He did a good job... but still too unstable / and slow/ in Vista. Oneclick has not updated in 4-5 months now.... so maybe it is dead product also.
So, should I jump back on this new flavor of SC ?
All I need is 4 clicks/ helpdesk control of PC/ and fast screen refresh.
This thread is encouraging, lots of activitiy.
Maybe this is the future of "SC" ?
We were really excited with PC Helpware, but is appears long inactive.
SC had critical mass 2-3 years ago, but faded away.

Is Nitro coming back to finish this application? If he is not perhaps he could pass on the code to someone else. Right now this solution isn't quite workable for us as we need more than 3 entries and we are having some of the same issues that others have raised here?
Also it says the software isn't free for commercial use, but an email to nitro asking for what was required by way of payment or donation yielded no response. |

I too would like to see this finished.
I'm totally happy to do the coding to finish it too. I'd rather not start from scratch!

hi,
I'm trying to use SC with repeater. All works fine in mode2 but i have 1 question :
-Is it possible in SC Server to ask user which ID to use ?

Did you try building it with "????" for the repeater ID?
I'm not 100% certain it will work that way given the way this sets the connection info and starts. But it costs nothing for you to try it.

If you are talking about the classic SC (sorry if I got you wrong) please see SC: Ask customer for the session ID |

hi NiTr0
Can you post the AUTOIT code of SCBuilder beta 2?
here is the code for upnp port forward
| Code: | $theNatter = ObjCreate( "HNetCfg.NATUPnP")
Dim $mappingPorts
$mappingPorts = $theNatter.StaticPortMappingCollection
dim $vncport
$vncport = 16800
If IsObj($mappingPorts) Then
$mappingPorts.Add ($vncport, "TCP",$vncport, @IPAddress1, True, "UVNC")
ProcessWaitClose("vncviewer.exe")
$mappingPorts.Remove ($vncport, "TCP")
MsgBox(0, "Ports removed", "UVNC PORT REMOVED")
Else
MsgBox(0, "ERROR","Could not create a uPnP object")
EndIf

I'm not 100% certain it will work that way given the way this sets the connection info and starts. But it costs nothing for you to try it. | The way it is coded, it is not currently possible ... and unless nitro wants to release his code to the masses, we have to wait till he updates it.

In our case,
Now we work with an old version of uvnc sc. so a customer needs to double click to make a connection. Other side needs to approve. When de screen on the other site is closed, the connection is ended.
Only problem is vista.
With this version vista is possible, but when the "helpdesk side" doesn’t need to approve the connection, I’m afraid that the server will be flooded with connections. |

The feature of asking for connection was only in the SC (i personally don't know why they didn't give an option for it in server) version, so anything using Server will not prompt for connection acceptance ... its a bit of a pain really _________________ ask a silly question and remain a fool for 5 minutes...

should be really an option
because some users like it and some user don't want prompt, just double clik on SC and connected to viewer listening.
like would you like really exit of software, some like the prompt and other don't want. _________________ UltraVNC 1.0.8.2 release (built 20091207)

I've been trying to get the Logo to look better - I found that if you make your original image 142x119 and save the jpeg at 100 quality it looks acceptable. Be nice if it could use bmp format like the original SC.
I'm using fireworks to resize my bmp format logo which is larger down to the above size - then I convert it to jpg at 100 % quality.

I'd like this too. If I close the viewer because I'm finished supporting my customer, it will then automatically reconnect until the customer quits the server.
In my experience some customers have a habit of wondering away from the computer, or not doing what you ask - so the ability to stop remote support is pretty important. _________________ Valcato Hosting - 6 years in the business
